A: Builder Buddy Tape Measure Holder also holds a pencil with a built in spring that to keeps it secure on your side. It is made to fit standard contractor pencils as well as fitting many other #2 pencils.

A: The Builder Buddy has an engineered paddle specifically designed to quickly attach to a belt. Wearing a belt is the best way to carry the Tape Measure Holder. It will work well with no belt and can clip to a pocket or to the pant waistline however the weight of many heavy duty tape measures would cause sagging. The paddle is designed to clip on to any belt up to and including 2 inches wide belts.
